50% off Sale

Happy St. Patrick's Day! It's been awhile since I last updated my blog. It's been a busy couple of months and it doesn't show any signs of slowing down for some time yet. We made it through the holiday season with sick kids. I definitely would not like to have my kids sick again during Christmas, but it was nice to be able to just stay home and spend the day with each other instead of running from one family event to another. My son tested for his red belt in Tae Kwon Do right before Christmas. He was pretty excited about getting it. He had to break four boards this time using different hits and kicks. It took a few tries, but he did end up getting  through all four. Last one before he goes for his black belt. In a couple weeks, my husband gets to take him to his first tournament for the year. In January, my oldest turned 14, and ever since then she has been going and going. She has a much more active social life it seems than the rest of us do. She has started spring volleyball and all her tournaments this year, except for the home one, are over an hour away. Not looking forward to the early mornings the next month on my normal day to sleep in, but am looking forward to watching her play again. The little turned five in December and thought after Christmas break she would be going to Kindergarten. She was pretty upset when we had to tell her she would still be in preschool until after summer break. She has been dancing all over the house, even making her own stage and spotlight on our bed to "perform" for us. She wants to be in dance again next year. Now we just have to figure out which of the three dance studios we now have in town to send her.

While I haven't been updating my blog over the last couple months I have been working on adding my products to my Gotta Pixel store. I have gotten most of them in there. Today is your lucky day, I have my products for 50% off! But hurry and head over to my Gotta Pixel store because this sale is only for the next 24 hours!

New Store, Sale and a Grab Bag

I was looking back through my gallery the other day at ScrapMatters before it closes and I started getting nostalgic. For the last five years that has been my main gallery, so all of my layouts are posted there. It was fun to look at how much I have grown as a scrapper since I first started. I started there when my youngest was a baby, so there are pages of her first few days all the way up to just a few months ago. It was neat to see how much she has grown. There were also a few pages there made me cringe when looking at them because they are not how I scrap now. It was like looking back at my paper scrapbooks and seeing all the pictures I cut with decorative scissors or into shapes. Thankfully, unlike the paper pages, the digital ones can be changed if I ever get to that point. Have you ever looked back through your gallery at all the pages you have created?

My store at Gotta Pixel is now officially open! To help celebrate my new store and Cyber Monday I have a new grab bag to show you today. This grab bag will only be available through December 5, so pick it up now before it gets broken apart. It includes 3 never before seen products at an awesome discount. It's an $11.97 value for only $4.50! That's over 60% off. You can see what is all included in the detailed pictures on the product page. Not only can you grab this there, but I have started uploading some of my other products at Gotta Pixel and they are 30% through Dec. 5.

Here is a page I created using this grab bag. Every Christmas Eve we give the kids new pajamas to wear to bed that night so they have them on for Christmas morning when we open gifts.

Store Moving

I'm sure most of you have heard already that ScrapMatters is closing it's doors on December 2. :( My heart has been very heavy with this news since I first heard it. ScrapMatters has been my digi home for the last 5 years and I have made many friends there and had lots of fun getting to know everyone. With ScrapMatters closing, that means that I am moving to a new store. I'm happy to announce that I will be going the great ladies at Gotta Pixel on December 1.

Make sure to check out my store before it closes on November 30 as there are a few items that are being retired and not coming with me to Gotta Pixel. You can grab them for only $1 & $2.

I want to thank everyone for your support the last two years while I have been at ScrapMatters and hope to see you at Gotta Pixel.

DSD Weekend & grab bag

Happy DSD everyone! Hope everyone is having a great time so far. Check out the awesome sale that ScrapMatters is having this weekend! Save 40% off everything, excluding grab bags and bundles, in my store through Sunday!

 photo store-header2_zps3855dbeb.jpg

I have this sweet grab bag available in the store. Grab it through Thursday for only $4.49! That's a whopping 70% off! It contains 4 full size products, which are revealed in the detail images in the store. The entire time I was working on this grab bag I had the song from Wreck-It Ralph going through my head. It could be because my youngest has decided that is her "favorite" movie right now so it has been playing a lot around here. It's just one of those songs though that also just seems to get stuck in your head.

Indian Summer and a little catch-up

Yep, I'm still around. :)Things got pretty crazy around here the last few months. Last time I wrote on here my kids were getting ready for our county fair and I'm happy to report they did an awesome job. I'm so proud of those two! They both show rabbits and since our county fair is so small they have to compete against each other. One of Hunter's rabbits did better than Michaella's (he got 5th place overall!)and instead of her being upset about him beating her, she turned to him and shook his hand after they got their placings. They may have the usual sibling rivalries and quarrel a bit, but they still have respect for each other and can be happy for one another when one does better than the other. Hunter also came a way with a reserve grand champion for Junior Showmanship. They both did great in their other projects they presented, too.

Shortly after fair my hours at work started to get crazy and all over the place. I had been doing pretty much the same schedule since I had gone back to work after my accident until the beginning of May and was looking forward to getting back into a steady routine once the college and high school girls went back to school in August. Unfortunately that is not what happen. The room that I was in had enough extra staff that they started shifting my times all over the place and that really started messing with my ability to keep anything straight at home or be able to set anything up other than work. The lack of a regular schedule and being scheduled hours later than I was able to work made me decide it was time for a change even though I really liked where I was working. I was also really missing being in the classroom, so I applied for a lead teacher position for Head Start and got it. I have really enjoyed being able to teach again and I have a really great class. It's finally starting to feel like we have some what of a routine again at home and it feels great!

Now on to the goodies I have to show you. This week I am releasing my part of the October Mixed Matters grab bag to my store. When we picked the colors for the grab bag, I was really excited to see that they would match the colors that my family had picked to wear for our large family picture that we didn't get to take at my sister's wedding last summer. Unfortunately the family pictures still didn't happen because of weather the day we had them scheduled, but I did get the kit created to scrap them when they finally do get taken.

This week I also compiled what I did for the January and February Make-a-Kit promotions in the store into full kits. So if you missed grabbing them when they were all separate you can now grab everything all together.

While I was away I also released another fun kit, which was also part of the July Mixed Matters grab bag. Surf Adventures was inspired by one of my youngest daughter's favorite outfits this summer. It's so bright and cheerful!
